Pixar exhibit in London

This Saturday the Science Museum in London sees the opening of Pixar: 20 years of animation, with hundreds of artworks, models and digital paintings from the Pixar studios, as well as two amazing audiovisual experiences unique to the exhibition, which will run from 1 April to 10 June 2006. (more…)

Disney launching its first-ever Yearbook!

Disney is releasing the Insider Yearbook 2005, a collectibe 176-page annual publication that commemorates 2005 with beautiful full-color photos, behind-the-scenes scoop, and coverage of major events and milestones. (more…)

Buzz Lightyear blasting off at Disneyland Paris

This week the brand-new attraction Buzz Lightyear Laser Blast had a surprise soft-opening at the Disneyland Paris park as visitors got a sneak preview at this fifth incarnation of the popular attraction, which first opened in 1998 as Buzz Lightyear Space Ranger Spin at Walt Disney World’s Magic Kingdom. There will be shareholder and annual passholder previews this weekend and next week, and the official opening is scheduled for 8 April. (more…)

Disney Cruise Line coming to Europe

Disney will be sailing into new territory in 2007. The company announced today that Disney Cruise Lines will sail to Italy, France and Spain from May to August 2007 as part of a larger strategy to ‘chart new waters’. (more…)

Menken, Musker, Clements return to Disney Animation

After Disney’s acquisition of Pixar, new animation head John Lasseter is rounding up the animation talent that Michael Eisner had worked so hard on chasing away. This week Disney announced that it has signed on Alan Menken, John Musker and Ron Clements, who were behind such hits as The Little Mermaind and Aladdin. (more…)
