Three new Disney summer titles in Germany this month

July 2006 sees the release of three new titles in Germany, providing lots of fun for the summer, with pirates, the Junior Woodchucks, and sudoku!

Disney SudokuYou don’t have to be a fan of mathematics in order to have fun with Sudoku. This new issue of Disney Sudoku features 50 of the popular Japanese puzzles. When you’re done with the Sudokus you can enjoy several other types of puzzles, and there are comic stories too!

The magazine has 50 pages with a comic strip running along the bottom on every page. Disney Sudoku is available for €1.99 throughout Germany, and also distributed to Austria and Switzerland, with a total print-run of approximately 100,000 copies. The new magazine will be published quarterly.

This time the series features comic stories starring Huey, Duey and Louie as the Junior Woodchucks. There are also puzzles and other activities. The comic has 64 pages, sells for €3.20 in Germany and has a print-run of approxmately 100,000.

Pirates of the Caribbean - Fluch der Karibik 2On the 27th of July Germany will see the release of the new film Pirates of the Carribbean: Dead Man’s Chest, and as a tremendous coincidence, the release of this magazine holding the same name.

The Disney studio has created a beautiful comic story after the film, which is featured in this comic, along with behind the scenes information about the film and the world of pirates. The 36-page magazine comes with giant poster and has a print-run of approximately 100,000. It sells for €2.95 in Germany and is targeted at 7-9 year olds.
