Ehapa Verlag revives 1970s Goofy history stories

Ehapa Verlag in Germany launched a new series of hardcover books this month reprinting the Goofy history stories that were produced by the Jaime Diaz Studios in the late 1970s. These stories feature Goofy as a famous historical person. Each book prints five of these long 44-page stories. (more…)

Last week Disney released the new Walt Disney Treasures DVDs, tin-cased limited edition DVD collections featuring rare, classic cartoons and TV programs. One of this year’s four new volumes is More Silly Symphonies, featuring 38 of Disney’s vintage musical cartoons as well as their assorted spin-offs. 
The house where Walt Disney was born, 2156 N. Tripp in Chicago, is up for auction on eBay starting at US$ 250,000. The four-bedroom, frame house was built in 1893 by Disney’s father, Elias, and it is was where Walt Disney was born 105 years ago this week. The house was posted by owners Radoje and Barbara Popovic.
