Disney comics in Bulgaria are being published by Egmont Bulgaria. The flagship Mickey Mouse title has sold almost 8 million copies accross the first 300 issues.

A questionnaire inserted in No. 19 of Bulgaria's Mickey Mouse magazine yielded an 11% response rate, with the following main outcome of responses: the target group is aged seven to 12; boys represent 60% of the readers; the most preferred stories are based on adventures and detective themes; the most attractive issues contain many editorial pages and inserts. In response to the questionnaire results, a new concepts has been developed for Mickey Mouse. A piece of a 24-piece puzzle was included in several issues in 1997, enabling those who complete the puzzle to compete for a prize trip to Disneyland Paris.In addition, and for the first time, all magazine subscribers received a special insert just for them.
