Disney comics in China
Unfortunately, Disney comics have been practically absent in this huge country. Various bootleg comics have been published in the past. These illegal little Mickey Mouse comics were published without the permission of The Walt Disney Company and featured poor reproductions of old Mickey comic stories. In 1993, Egmont opened an office in China; Egmont China. It has been publishing a Mickey Mouse title since.
