Carl Barks Savnið was the first (and only) Disney comic series in the Faroes language. The translation version of American Carl Barks Library in Color, was published in cooperation with Germany-based Ehapa Verlag by Bókadeild Føroya Lærarafelags.

A total of 8 issues of Carl Barks Savnið were published in 1995 and 1996. They were printed in Slovenia. The numbering of the Faroese and American issues is not the same.

(Note: The Faroe Islands are a group of islands between the Norwegian Sea and the North Atlantic Ocean, about one-half of the way from Iceland to Norway. They have been an autonomous region of the Kingdom of Denmark since 1948.)
