Both launched in late 1993, Mickey Aventure and Mickey Mystere are complementary magazines, appearing on an alternating montly cycle. Mickey Aventure contains adventure stories, and Mickey Mystere contains mystery stories. Each issue incled a themed premium. These two series were cancelled in 1996. It's packed with comics, games and editorials. Goofy and Mickey star in comics from the 1950s to the present, such as On the Trail of Indiana Goof. A metallic identification badge that can be personalized was a promotional gift with the launch issue. Each issue is in a blister pack with a premium related to detectives. The first premium was a special doubleagent pen that writes invisible messages and allows them to be read secretly. For 1993, there were 2 issues, one in June followed by another in November. The first print-run were about 115,000 copies!!
