This magazine is all about Ariel, star of Disney's animated feature film The Little Mermaid. It was launched as a monthly magazine in 1994 and canceled at the end of 1996 after 36 issues. It was re-launched in a nicer format in 1996, with glossy five-color cover, but that version only lasted for 6 issues until it was canceledagain in the same year. The second version had no editorials, just comic stories featuring Ariel and her friends.

People in Germany, Austria or Switzerland can subscribe to Micky Maus, Donald Duck Sonderheft, Lustiges Taschenbuch and several other titles. All Disney comics by Ehapa are for sale in these three countries in all shops that sell magazines and books.
