Die besten Geschichten mit Donald Duck ("The best stories with Donald Duck") used the larger graphic album format. The series was launched in 1984 and featured Barks reprints only, both used from the weekly Micky Maus and Donald Duck Sonderheft. The album series was cancelled at #58.

About six new albums came out every year. It was sold at newsstands, although the German Barks Library are intended for bookstores and comicshops. There was a newsstand edition, as well as a hardcover edition for bookstores and comicshops, but then Ehapa started the, highly successfull, Barks Library softcover albums in 1992, which is now mainly bookstore oriented.

If you live in Germany, Austria or Switzerland you can subscribe to Micky Maus, Donald Duck Sonderheft, W.i.t.c.h., Lustiges Taschenbuch, Einfach Tierisch and Disney Prinzessin.

All Disney titles of Ehapa are for sale in these three countries in all shops that sell magazines and books.
