Die Tollsten Geschichten von Donald Duck Spezial ("The Funniest Stories of Donald Duck Special") was launched in September 2004. Each book-bound issue in this series has a special theme and only contains related stories.

The first issue was dedicated to Don Rosa and featured only Rosa stories, including A Matter of Some Gravity, Return to Plain Awful and an interview with the artist.

The second issue contained only Christmas stories from such artists as Carl Barks (The black pearls of Tabu Yama), William van Horn (Deck Us All!) and Daniel Branca (White Christmas Worries).

The third issue was dedicated to Vicar, the talented artist from Chili, who turned 70 in 2004 together with Donald Duck. There is a 4-page interview with Vicar in this issue.
