Paperinik New Adventures, or PK for short, featured long Italian science fiction stories starring Donald Duck as a superhero, fighting "Evronian" aliens. PK is a spin-off from Paperinik, an older series with reprinted stories of Donald Duck was a superhero. PK had completely new and original stories made up in a very modern style.PK was first launched in an experimental phase in 1996. In that phase numbers 0/1, 0/2 and 0/3 were released. Issue 0/2 sold 130,000 copies in June of 1996. Following these positive results from the test issues, the series was officially launched as "PK Paperink New Aventures". The Italian press praised Disney's capacity to renew and develop its style while respecting the integrity of its characters. PK Paperinik New Adventures stars Donald Duck as super hero Paperink in futuristic adventures that have captured the interest of older readers. Each issue is of high-quality, with glossy cover, shiny pages and bright attractive coloring. |
