Egmont Japan K.K. together with Kawade Shobô Shinsha launched this Winnie the Pooh title in April of 1999 for children aged 4 to 6. The bi-monthly magazine contains Pooh comics, Pooh stories, Nature watching and a parents' guide. The first print run of 150,000 copies was distributed through 14,000 bookstores. To promote the launch, Asahi newspaper carried an advertisement inviting readers to discover more comic stories in the new Winnie the Pooh magazine.
The magazine is now published by Kawade Shobô Shinsha alone. |
