Sanoma's monthly Disneyland magazine has become a strong pre-school title over the last years in the Benelux. Targeted to three- to six-year-olds, it combines stories, games and edutainment in what has proven to be a succesfull formular. Printruns are above 80000 copies. Disneyland attracts both parents and children for its family entertainment value. It is aimed at very young children, as is said on the cover: The funniest monthly for children over three years old. The magazine, which is rather large sized, features lots of puzzles, bedtime stories and educational pages as well. Each issue has a letters column and a two-page spread poster in the middle. All stories are based on characters like Winnie the Pooh, Alice in Wonderland, Robin Hood; so mainly characters that are adapted from Disney's animated feature films, while the bed-time stories and puzzles features characters as Mickey and Donald. |
