In 1996 De Geillustreerde Pers introduced a new pocket-sized comic book in the Netherlands; Donald Duck Dubbel Pocket. In the preceding decennia three other pocket series followed eachother in succesion. Each series had the title Donald Duck Pocket, with a total of 256 pages in each issue. This double pocket has a total of 512 pages, and has been published two times per year.In 2006, Dutch publisher Sanoma decided to increase the annual output of this series from 2 to 4. The book contains Egmont-produced 3-tier stories only and has the size of a standard European pocket-book title (12.5 x 18.4 cm). The sides of the books form a picture of a head of Donald Duck, when six issues are combined. |
