In April of 1997, Dutch publisher De Geillustreerde Pers test-launched two new magazines in its strategy to cover all youth segments in the Dutch magazine market. DuckPower is the Dutch title of the familiar Italian magazine, PK-Paperink New Adventures, where our favorite Duckburg citizen of the future has been renamed Superdonald. The format, innovative layout and content of DuckPower address a more adult Duck-minded audience but also please Donald's traditional fans.

At the time it was not sure that it would become a continuious series. A second issue was published at the end of the year, while sales figures of the first 'test' issue seemed to be okay.

At the moment no further issues of Duck Power have come out. Duck Power is an exact copy of Italian PK magazine, with futuristic stories featuring Donald Duck as an action-hero/super-hero figure!
