Monster Allergy was first launched under the Disney label in Italy on 13 October 2003 and is a new series from the makers of the hugely popular W.i.t.c.h. comic books.
After W.i.t.c.h. the two Italian artists Barbucci and Canepa (coloring) are back with this funny series. The two had left the Disney company in 2000 after working on W.i.t.c.h. since 1997. They created the science fiction comic Sky Doll for France and now Monster Allergy, which was first launched in March 2003 in France (where it is published by Soleil). In Monster Allergy the main character is Zick, a young boy with the ability to see monsters because of his hay-fever.
