Politikin Zabavnik was launched on 28 February 1939 and is still running. It was published two times per week from 1939 to 41) during which time a total number of 220 issues were published. The title was picked up in 1952 and has since been published once a week. The numbering restarted in 1952 and in 2006 the number had reached over 2800.
