Holiday with Mickey was launched in 1996 with two experimental issues, and officially its monthly started publication in 1997. It was first published by Al-Futtaim Universal Trade Publications from Dubai, United Arab Emirates, and in 2000 resumed publication by Dar Al-Qabas from Kuwait for three years. In 2004 publishing switched to Al-Arabia for Journalism, Publishing and Distribution from Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates. Each issue is typically packed with three to five long stories.
