Ehapa Verlag in Germany launched a new series of hardcover books this month reprinting the Goofy history stories that were produced by the Jaime Diaz Studios in the late 1970s. These stories feature Goofy as a famous historical person. Each book prints five of these long 44-page stories.

Dozens of these Goofy stories were produced from 1976 to 1987 and some of the first ones are included in the first 248-page book in this series, which includes Goofy as Leonardo da Vinci, Christopher Columbus, Galileo Galilei, Marco Polo and Aladdin.

First issue in the new series from December 2006
