Last year, Gemstone Publishing published a reprint of the original twelve chapters of Don Rosa’s epic story The Life and Times of Scrooge McDuck.
This September, the publisher is releasing a Companion book that will include all the pre-chapters, post-chapters and in-between chapters that were missing from the first book. More »

At the official opening of the brand-new Expedition Everest this weekend, President Al Weiss revealed two new attractions to be added to the list of upcoming attractions at the World, both based on the popular Pixar animated film Finding Nemo. This June, Disney will launch its new Disney Mobile, allowing parents to track their child’s movements, decide who they can call, and prioritising messages that reach the phone. The service will provide parents with real-time maps and locations of family members using GPS technology built into the handsets. More »

This Saturday the Science Museum in London sees the opening of Pixar: 20 years of animation, with hundreds of artworks, models and digital paintings from the Pixar studios, as well as two amazing audiovisual experiences unique to the exhibition, which will run from 1 April to 10 June 2006. More »

This week the brand-new attraction Buzz Lightyear Laser Blast had a surprise soft-opening at the Disneyland Paris park as visitors got a sneak preview at this fifth incarnation of the popular attraction, which first opened in 1998 as Buzz Lightyear Space Ranger Spin at Walt Disney World’s Magic Kingdom. There will be shareholder and annual passholder previews this weekend and next week, and the official opening is scheduled for 8 April. More »

Disney will be sailing into new territory in 2007. The company announced today that Disney Cruise Lines will sail to Italy, France and Spain from May to August 2007 as part of a larger strategy to ‘chart new waters’. More »

After Disney’s acquisition of Pixar, new animation head John Lasseter is rounding up the animation talent that Michael Eisner had worked so hard on chasing away. This week Disney announced that it will stop distributing its Disney Catalog that has filled the mailboxes of tens of millions of households for the last 10 years, and instead will focus on its online store.
