This unique series of Carl Barks albums are a translated version of the American Carl Barks Library in Color albums. They were published in the Faroese language by local publisher Bókadeild Føroya Lærarafelags in cooperation with Ehapa Verlag (Germany) and printed in Slovenia.
A total of 18 issues were published from 1995 to 1997. The numbering of the Faroese and American issues is not the same.
The Faroe Islands are a group of islands between the Norwegian Sea and the North Atlantic Ocean, about one-half of the way from Iceland to Norway. They have been an autonomous region of the Kingdom of Denmark since 1948.
