This magazine is based on a Dutch tradition, Sinterklaas. This national holiday is celebrated every year on December 5th, thus this title is released once every year around November. Just like Een Vrolijke Kerst met Donald Duck, this comic is of an exceptionally high quality, with a hard cover and the size of a standard weekly title. The paper is glossy and the title of the book is printed on the side of the cover: Sinterklaasfeest met Donald Duck, meaning Sinterklaas-feast with Donald Duck. Each issue contains about 62 to 64 pages, with comic-material only. There are no editorials at all, and the stories are very diverse. Almost all of the stories have a Sinterklaas-theme, so they are all from Dutch origin, because Sinterklaas is a Dutch feast. Occasionally a non-Sinterklaas story is printed, usually from Denmark.
