About Disney Hachette Presse
Disney Hachette Presse was formed in 1990 in joint venture betweenThe Walt Disney Company and Hachette. The team has been very successful with Disney
and Hachette editorial expertise on one hand, and Hachette's
extensive distribution system on the other. The French Disney comics,
published by Disney Hachette Presse, are also sold in Belgium
and Switzerland.
Hachette does NOT publish any French-languaged Disney albums, these are published by Dargaud.
This publisher has been publishing comic albums for years. While
DHP publishes the comics, Dargaud publishes all the albums featuring Disney comic
stories, which vary from movie-adaptions to Italian stories featuring the Ducks.
About two of these albums are released each year, without
any interest for the quality of what they publish.
Currently available titles published by Disney Hachette Presse are:
Le Journal de Mickey, which is the flagship weekly magazine, Picsou Magazin,
and extremely popular monthly title called after Carl Barks' character Uncle Scrooge,
P'tit Loup, Winnie, Bambi, Mickey Parade, Super Picsou Geant, Mickey Aventure,
Mickey Mystere, Disney Club Vacances and Minnie.
