About Egmont Lavia

Egmont Latvia is part of the Danish Egmont Group and publishes the flagship Mickey Mouse magazine and some other Disney comics in both the Latvian and Russian language in Latvia.

In 1988, the doors to Eastern Europe swung open and the first Disney magazine was introduced to young Hungarian readers. Since that time more East European countries got their own Disney comics, including Latvia.

Numerous activities were organized by Egmont Latvia around the summer holidays. These included the opening of more than 15 new seasonal sales outlets in popular resorts; the finalizing of results to the special-offer of Disney books to 200 kindergartens; and a campaign for Mickey Mouse and Dambo magazines with subscription coupons in popular family magazines, accompanied by advertising on the two largest TV stations and one commercial radio station.
