In the middle of the 1980s, Egmont Verlag in Austria published Micky Maus magazine, with local ads and covers. For decades all German Disney comics, produced by Ehapa Verlag in Germany, have been distributed to Austria and Switzerland, both German speaking countries.The Austrian edition of Micky Maus was almost identical to the German version. It had different ads and some had different covers, which were sometimes air-brushed. In 1998, rights to Micky Maus returned to Ehapa/Egmont in Germany, and so has the content.
