Minnie was launched by Al-Futtaim Universal Trade Publications in 1999. Publishing changed in 2000 to Kuwait by Dar Al-Qabas for Journalism, Printing and Publishing, and in 2004 changes back to the UAE to Al-Arabia from Abu Dhabi, UAE.

The magazine is targeted at girls and is published every three weeks.
