From June 1990 (when Disney Comics took over the Disney license from Gladstone) till July 1993 (when Gladstone got the license back) a total number of 38 issues of Donald Duck Adventures were published.
Gladstone had a series with the same name, but the numbering of that series was paused in the period that Disney Comics published these 38 comic books. Gladstone picked up its numbering starting in 1993.
Each comic was filled with a large variety of Donald Duck stories. It mostly contained stories by Carl Barks, Don Rosa, William Van Horn and others from Egmont in Denmark.
Each issue contained one page "Destination: Duckburg" with letters from readers and the credits for the cover and each story.
