Gladstone launched the bi-monthly comic DuckTales in October 1988. A total of 13 issues came out until the series was cancelled in May 1990 when Disney Comics took over the license. Unfortunately, the series was not picked up by Gladstone when they regained the license in 1993. The issues contained stories featuring the gang of the animated television show Ducktales. The stories came from the Jaime Diaz studios, Denmark, Carl Barks (obviously no specific Ducktales stories) and original stories by William Van Horn that were done for this series.
