In September 2006, Gemstone Publishing released a companion to the 2005 edition of The Life and Times of Scrooge McDuck by Don Rosa.
,br/>
The 208-page book features the prequels, the sequels, and the in-between-quels to Don Rosa's epic story about the life of the world's richest duck.
Filling in the gaps between the twelve original chapters, the book contains:
"Of Ducks and Dimes and Destinies" (Chapter 0/Uncle Scrooge 297): On the day Scrooge earned his famous Number One Dime, he never expected to also meet a time-traveling Magica De Spell!
"The Cowboy Captain of the Cutty Sark" (Chapter 3B/US 318): Young Scrooge's goal is merely to deliver cattle to a sultan... but he ends up victimized by Krakatoa's famous blast!
"The Vigilante of Pizen Bluff" (Chapter 6B/US 306): Young Scrooge outfoxes the Daltons with the help of Annie Oakley, Buffalo Bill -- and Pothole McDuck, Scrooge's dime-novel publishing uncle.
"The Prisoner of White Agony Creek!" (Chapter 8B... new in this book!): In the Klondike, Scrooge vows to reform crooked saloon owner -- and possible love interest -- Glittering Goldie, by forcing her to do honest work at his gold claim. But what else happens while they're there for a month?
"Hearts of the Yukon" (Chapter 8C/Walt Disney Giant 1): Scrooge struggles with the fallout of his relationship with Goldie.
"The Sharpie of the Culebra Cut" (Chapter 10B/US 332): When Scrooge and his sisters dig for gold in Panama, they get mixed up in bigtime canal construction and conflict with President Roosevelt!
"The Dream of a Lifetime!" (US 329): This later "homage" to the Life of Scrooge features the modern-day Beagle Boys entering Scrooge's subconscious mind and reliving the events themselves!
"Last Sled to Dawson" (Uncle Scrooge Adventures 5).
Extras included in the book are additional panels of art produced by Rosa for foreign countries where the stories were presented in serialized form, commentary -- more than a dozen pages of Rosa recollections on how these classics came to be!
