Brilliant bar concept at Footsie in Paris

A cafe near the Opera metro station in Paris named Footsie (a play on words on FTSE, the London stock exchange) has screens above their bar with the prices of their drinks. The clever thing about this place is that the screen refreshes every four minutes, and the prices go up and down, depending on demand. Customers at the bar are gazing at the screens looking for bargains.

The screen contains five lists of drinks that are on offer: draft beers, bottled drinks, soft drinks, liquors and aperitifs. When someone buys a bottle of Heineken, for instance, the price of Heineken in the ‘bottled drinks’ section goes up, and one or more of the other ones in the same section go down. A ‘countdown’ clock at the top of the screen counts down from 240 seconds until the screen is refreshed.

What a clever idea. 😀

Hi
This is not the original Bar. The first one open in London. I remember reading an article on it a few years ago. But the idea is still excellent. I have heard a lot of negative opinions on the Bar in Paris. I have not seen a website. Either they don’t have one, or they are not in Google.

Actually our company barSTOCK (The barSTOCK Exchange) originated this concept which bar footie duplicated.

We have remained the market leaders on a global scale and are now present in more that 10 countries.

Our software is packed with unique brand promotion features and the front of house impact is outstanding.

Take a look under http://www.barstock.com
