Snow, snow, snow

Just a few weeks ago it was still unseasonably hot here in northern Illinois, but the last week it has been freezing cold with lots of snow. I can’t remember ever experiencing such low temperatures.

Yesterday the high was -4oC and the low was -14oC with wind chills as low as -23oC. We walked to the store yesterday morning, all bundled up, and I couldn’t believe how cold the wind was. Today it isn’t so bad. Right now it’s -3oC, feels like -13oC. We went out to Kohl’s this morning and bought snow boots so we’re a little better prepared for the weather here. We used them right away this morning to shovel snow around the house. That was fun. 🙂

We’ve had a good start to the winter over here in Estes Park, Colorado We were all kind of ready for it though, something we come to expect on time round these parts. Want to see how much snowfall and the happenings of the area? Check out Estes Park Photographs. Thanks for the great blog, hope you enjoy!
